In January 2023, the Learned Society of the Czech Republic organized two discussions on open access to publications. Their recordings can be found on the Society’s YouTube channel.
Panel discussions with Czech and international experts focused on the benefits of open access, but also its risks, such as the rise of publishing in predatory journals.
The first discussion, Open Access – Benefits and Risks, took place on 11 January 2023 (in Czech).
The second, entitled Heroic Librarians Fighting Publishing Sharks, was held on 17 January 2023 (in English).
